Description
Upon request from our clients that wanted both to get to know the highlights of Palma city by bike AND ALSO get in touch with the most important element around our Mediterranean island; our turquoise blue transparent water – we decided to create the
BICYCLE AND KAYAK/SUP TOUR that gives the visitor a unique possibility to combine these two elements in one single tour. Our tour includes a guided bike route along the seafront of Palma and through the most important sights of “Medina Mayurca” (medieval part of old town Mallorca) and the cathedral “La Seu” seen from parc de la mar and its surroundings. You will be able to see, listen and learn about Palmas past and present while biking on the old medieval wall and enjoying spectacular sights of the city and the Palma bay. The tour will take you from here along the sea on a safe bicycle lane to Can Pastilla where we include a one hour rental of either a kayak or a stand up paddle board. After your rental and (if you wish) a refreshing dip into the sea, you will get changed and ready to bike back along the coast to one of our two possible starting/ending points.
Our BICYCLE AND KAYAK/SUP TOUR resumed:
Our tour starts at our center shop at 17:30pm (or at any preferred location if its a privately booked tour) where you will be introduced to your tour guide, asked to sign a disclaimer and consent to our bike tour policy. Shortly after you will be handed a comfortable high quality city bike, a helmet (obligatory until 16 years of age) and a basket if you wish. For this specific tour, we include a bottle of 0.5l still water for you.
Our tour guide will give you a briefing on the general facts and what to expect of the tour, the timing, procedures and local rules regarding biking in Palma de Mallorca and a demonstration of how the bikes work. We will help you to adjust the bike seat to your height in order to get the most comfortable experience out of your tour. After this we are ready to set off! Our BICYCLE AND KAYAK/SUP TOUR takes you along the bike lane on the seafront avenue in the direction of the main Cathedral “La Seu”. Along our route we do short stops on a few places and tell you interesting facts about the things you are looking at. After a few stops around Parc de la Mar we will seek our way back down to the bicycle lane and start biking towards Can Pastilla (a very comfortable ride along the sea) where we include a one hour rental of either a kayak or a stand up paddle board (SUP board). After this your will get changed and we will get ready to bike back to our shop.
Remember to bring bathing clothes and towel!
